Creative Psychotherapy for Adults

Life can be overwhelming at times—especially when you’re carrying things that feel too heavy to hold alone. Whether you're navigating trauma, stress, anxiety, neurodivergence, or simply feeling stuck or disconnected, therapy offers a space to slow down and gently explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

A Therapy Space That Meets You Where You Are

Creative psychotherapy is a flexible and compassionate approach. Some people come to sessions to talk. Others find that using creative tools—like drawing, writing, or working with objects—can help express things that are hard to put into words. There's no right or wrong way to do this. You don’t need to be “creative” or artistic, and there’s never any pressure to use the creative materials if that’s not what feels right for you.

This is your space—led by your needs, at your pace.

Support for Trauma, Neurodiversity and Emotional Wellbeing

Amy-Lou specialises in working with adults who have experienced trauma or who identify as neurodivergent (including ADHD and autism). Therapy is adapted to suit your unique ways of thinking, feeling, and processing. Together, we can explore what healing looks like for you—not based on any standard template, but on your lived experience.

You might come to therapy for support with:

  • Processing trauma or difficult life events

  • Managing anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm

  • Exploring identity, relationships, or life transitions

  • Navigating life as a neurodivergent adult

  • Finding your voice and building confidence

  • Reconnecting with your body, creativity, or self-worth

What to Expect

Sessions are held in a calm, confidential setting where you’re welcomed exactly as you are. There’s no pressure to talk about anything before you’re ready. We go at a pace that feels safe for you.

Some people use creative materials every week, some now and then, and some not at all. All approaches are valid. The aim is to support you in feeling heard, seen, and gently supported as you move forward.
